About Little Roots
Rooted in Love, Growing Together
Little Roots School House is a home based christian preschool program. Meaning that this program will be ran out of a personal home where we hold such values and will be approached using the educational models gained through our 20+ years of teaching and working with children. We will equip your child with the foundation they need to start grade school. While the daily schedule will mostly focus on formal instruction there will be plenty of unstructured time in the day as well which includes play, art, and music.
Our Teaching Philosophy
At Little Roots School House, we believe children are naturally curious, capable, and creative. Our role is to nurture that spark as well as get them grade school ready.
Play Is the Work of Childhood
Every center, activity, and outdoor moment is intentionally designed to build skills through play. Children learn math through blocks, language through storytelling, and science through sunshine, puddles and seeds.
Every Child Is Unique
There is no one-size-fits-all approach here. We observe, adapt, and celebrate each child's individual pace and strengths.
Relationships Come First
A child who feels safe and loved is a child who can learn. We invest deeply in our relationships with children and families, building the trust that makes everything else possible.
Kindergarten Ready
While we lead with love and play, we are intentional about school readiness. Children leave Little Roots School House with strong foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development, and classroom routines.
